About Me

Hey, I'm Caoimhe.

I'm a lens-based artist living in Galway City, West of Ireland and a recent graduate of the Level 6 Photography Course at Pearse College.

With a 15+ year career in content production and marketing, photography was a natural extension of my skill set. I've been taking photos since I was a teenager and continued as a hobbyist until 2023 when I left the corporate world to fulfil my long-term ambition of studying photography.

My practice is multidisciplinary, documentary-focused, and research-led.  I'm passionate about documentary photography and its influence on sociopolitical and cultural matters. I am currently working on a long-term project documenting the enduring nature of folk healing and traditions in Ireland and their significance for the Irish people.

My portfolio is a growing and wide-ranging collection of work, including portraiture, still life, environmental, headshots, documentary, and studio photography. I have experience in Adobe Creative Suite and am comfortable with concept development and post-production processing.

Could I be a fit for your project? Let's chat about it.
